Systematic Revision and Identification Guide to Emerald Ash Borer (Agrilus planipennis)

DESCRIPTION: Intern(s) will participate in entering literature information in to a database about insects in the Buprestidae (Agrilus). In addition, interns will learn to reconcile records with the Biodiversity Heritage Library (BHL) to determine their availability in digital format. This project involves scanning reprints not yet available in electronic format. Results (database and pdf’s) will be made available to the public through Encyclopedia of Life (EOL)/Lifedesks.

QUALIFICATIONS: Background or interest in entomology; excellent hand/eye coordination; ability to type; attention to detail; good organizational skills.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Interns will learn about entomology and entomology literature as well as how to reconcile data records for museum collections.
