Smithsonian ACLS Public Fellowship

The American Council Of Learned Societies Public Fellowship Program

The Smithsonian is proud to partner with the American Council of Learned Societies on their public fellows program.

The American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) Public Fellowship Program places recent PhDs from the humanities and humanistic social sciences in two-year staff positions at partnering organizations in government and the nonprofit sectors. The ACLS Public Fellowship program allows PhDs to gain valuable, career-building experience in fields such as public policy, international aid, conservation, arts and culture, and digital media. The fellows participate in the research and the work of these organizations and receive professional mentoring.
