Arctic Studies Center Annual Newsletter

DESCRIPTION: Since 1993, the Arctic Studies Center (ASC) has produced an annual newsletter for donors, supporters and colleagues. The newsletter focuses on the Center’ research initiatives, fieldwork, exhibits and publications and is distributed to approx. 1,500 subscribers as well as posted on the ASC website. The intern will assist in the production of upcoming newsletters as well as lead an effort to produce a comprehensive index of all past editions. This is an ideal project for someone with superior writing/editing skills and an interest in archives development or scientific history.

QUALIFICATIONS: Interest in circumpolar studies; proven writing/editing skills and experience in desktop publishing preferred.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Improve writing and editing skills; learn more about anthropological research; gain experience in newsletter production.
