Fellowships in Museum Practice
The Smithsonian’s Fellowships in Museum Practice (FMP) program is an opportunity for mid- and senior-level museum personnel, researchers and training providers to spend time at the Smithsonian researching a particular topic of interest that is relevant to their work and the museum profession. The goal of the program is foster innovative scholarship and expand the availability of information that has the potential to contribute to improvements in museum operations. Fellowships are awarded annually for a period of up to 6 months. An award consists of a stipend of $3,500 per month plus round-trip travel expenses between the recipient’s home and Washington, D.C.
