Swimming to the Smithsonian
Moore College of Art and Design senior illustration major and New Jersey native Gabrielle Wharton spent her summer as a virtual intern with the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History (NMNH). Gabrielle was able to use her artistic talent to assist with a number of different marine related projects such as depicting how octopus suckers work. Her art helped simplify scientific concepts to make them more comprehensible to the general public.
Gabrielle’s experience as a Smithsonian intern was the subject of a recent article on the Moore College of Art and Design website.
