NZP Fellow Dr. Emily Cohen bands a summer tanager

Smithsonian National Zoological Park (NZP) Fellow Dr. Emily Cohen has recently been spending time in Texas collecting health data on a range of migratory birds.

The research not only banding birds, but also checking them out for ticks and other creatures that might be hitching a ride on these high fliers.
