Wawawasi Kid’s Corner

The Smithsonian Folklife Festival is an international exposition of living cultural heritage annually produced outdoors on the National Mall of the United States in Washington, D.C. The 2015 festival focused on the folklife and culture of Peru. As part of this festival there are opportunities for interns to help with the behind the scene efforts and event planing.

Erica Martin and Tiffany Wilt, two 2015 interns at the Smithsonian Center of Folklife and Cultural Heritage (CFCH), are featured in an article recently published by the Community Work Journal. The article explains the experiences that they had while they were working on the Folklife Festival.
