Did you know that the Smithsonian Institution, in partnership with George Mason University (GMU), hosts a Master of Arts (MA) degree program in the History of Decorative Arts?

The program provides students with an unparalleled academic experience. Students of the program prepare to become leaders in the field of decorative arts, pursue object-centered academic study combined with professional training in European and American decorative arts, learn with distinguished faculty of decorative arts curators and scholars, study at the Smithsonian Institution, and explore museum collections throughout the Washington, D.C region and abroad.
