Lillianna Rumberger’s Smithsonian American Art Museum Internship
Lillianna Rumberger, an intern for the Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM), recently sat down with the Office of Fellowships and Internships (OFI) to provide an exclusive interview about her time here at the Smithsonian Institution. During her internship, Lillianna Rumberger explored her interests in publishing as she edited and proofread works submitted to the American Art Journal. Her favorite components of the internship included taking advantage of opportunities to explore the Smithsonian as well as embracing the responsibility entrusted to her while on the job. Of all the things that she enjoyed during her internship, Lillianna will miss the people she worked with the most.
Her best piece of advice to potential future interns is to,”Apply early and apply to lots of internship opportunities!”
