From Washington to DC

In November of 2014, the Smithsonian signed an agreement with Whitworth University to facilitate students doing internships at SI. The agreement regarding internships is the only one of its kind between the Smithsonian-at-large and a university in the state of Washington.

As a part of their January term, students from Whitworth University interned the Office of the Under Secretary for History, Art, and Culture (OUSHAC), the Freer and Sackler Galleries (FSGA), The Smithsonian Associates (TSA) , the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage (CFCH), and Smithsonian Gardens (SG).
