TSA Intern Danielle Fogel with French Chef Dominique Ansel

For the past 10 weeks Danielle Fogel has been the social media intern at The Smithsonian Associates (TSA). Danielle is a senior at the University of California in Santa Barbara, and she had the amazing opportunity to come to the nation’s capital. She admits that she thought her internship would consist of mundane, everyday tasks that she would have to perform as an intern, but she was surprised when she came to the Smithsonian. Danielle talked about how the Smithsonian made her everyday routine exciting and made her want to come back each and every day.

Danielle did many interesting things during her time at TSA. She did everything from meet the famous French chef Dominique Ansel, learn about serial killers from a real FBI behavioral analyst, interview the renowned author Monica Bhide, and even got to experience snow for the first time. It was a once in a lifetime experience that Danielle will not forget.

All of her stories and experiences can be read on the TSA blog, 1100 Jefferson.
