Fellow Finds Forgotten Walt Whitman Verse in Vault

SAAM fellow Wendy Katz

As reported by Omaha.com, Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM) fellow Wendy Katz, recently published an article about her discovery of a forgotten poem written by famous American author and poet, Walt Whitman.

She discovered this poem while researching her book, “The Politics of Art Criticism in the Penny Press, 1833-1861″ while she worked as a fellow at SAAM.
