The Joe and Wanda Corn Fellowship
The Joe and Wanda Corn Fellowship, endowed by their former students Mike Wilkins and Sheila Duignan, supports scholars whose research interests span American art and American history. The recipient will draw on the Smithsonian’s broad resources in both areas, utilizing the holdings of the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History.
The fellowship is residential and supports full-time independent and dissertation research. The stipend for a one-year predoctoral fellowship is $32,700, plus research and travel allowances. The stipend for a postdoctoral or senior fellowship is $4,000 per month for up to eight months, plus research and travel allowances. December 1, 2014, is the application deadline for fellowships that begin on or after June 1, 2015.
