Fellow Follows Fungus Farmers

Jonathan Shik, a postdoctoral fellow at Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI) in Panama, published an article in the American Naturalist called “Metabolism and the Rise of Fungus Cultivation by Ants.” Jonathan Shik has been studying ants and the evolution of their farming system in tropical environments.
