Fruit Flies Fighter

Queensland, Australia scientist Dr Mark Schutze was recently awarded a Fellowship to work with experts at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) in Washington DC dealing with research on fruit flies.

Dr Schutze is looking at ways farmers and pastorals can better defend their crops from an outbreak of a devastating pest that causes millions worth of damage to the agriculture industry each year across fruit growing regions in Queensland and northern New South Wales.You can read more in a recent article published by Toowoomba Chronicle here.
