The Rain Garden

The Office of Facilities Engineering and Operations (OFEO) Interns visited Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (SERC) on July 24, 2014 for a phenomenal behind the scenes tour. Tour guides, Ray Jones, Daren Kennedy, Steve Groh from OFEO and Captain Michael Goodison from SERC, set aside their day and pulled out all of the stops for this group of 25. The interns were able to tour the new Mathias Lab, rain garden, mansion ruins, learned about the history of SERC and surrounding area, and even had time for a boat ride down the scenic Rhode River with Captain Michael Goodison.
