Recently a group of visiting fellows from the Smithsonian Latino Center were given the opportunity to attend two presentations given by author and scholar, Dr. Thomas Chávez.

Dr. Chávez’s presentations were Arts, Humanities, and Reality in Public Institutions: Three Case Studies and The Virgin and the Dynamo and the Dreamers and the Doers: A Context for Why We Do What We Do. Following the presentations, Dr. Chávez joined the visiting fellows on a tour of the Library of Congress and the National Archives.
