Smithsonian Libraries Open Their Doors To Interns and Fellows

On Tuesday, June 10, Smithsonian Institution Libraries (SIL) hosted an open house at the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH). Visitors were able to attend a presentation about the many research tools available at the libraries, learn about the digitization process at the Biodiversity Heritage Library, view rare books, explore the library, and fold paper passenger pigeons.
The Biodiversity Heritage Library is in the process of creating digital accounts of their collection so that it is entirely searchable online.
