Leah Aronowsky: Finding New Insights from Old Expeditions
Leah Aronowsky, a graduate student at the Harvard History of Science Program, spent the past summer interning at the National Museum of Natural History. She worked closely with manuscripts from an early nineteenth-century US Expedition. These manuscripts included detailed illustrations of fish discovered on the expedition, drawn by artists aboard the ship. The scientific aproach by the artists, and the detailed notes they left, gave Leah fascinating insights on their journey.
