National Museum of the American Indian Landscape Tour with Christine Price-Abelow

Christine Price- Abelow, the Horticulturist at the Smithsonian along with her intern Sarah Anderson led a tour Wednesday June 26, 2013 at the National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) for Fellows and Interns. The group explored the landscape surrounding the museum. She discussed what is involved with the daily care and maintenance of this unique native landscape. The learned how the modern gardening techniques used today were traditionally used by Native Americans and traditional uses of the plants and how they connect to the museum’s interior exhibits.
