2013 Stable Isotopes Fellow Kirsteen MacKenzie is headed to STRI

Kirsteen MacKenzie, a researcher from the National Oceanography Centre at the University of Southampton in the UK has been awarded the 2013 Smithsonian Institution Stable Isotope Fellowship.

Kirsteen’s Fellowship will be taking her to the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI) in Panama where she will be studying the influence of seasonal upwellings on the nutrition of apex predators like sharks and tuna.
