February 12, 2013 Kim Brown, one of seven Goldman Sachs Multicultural Junior Fellows presented at NMAH’s weekly Tuesday colloquium on “Black Opulence” African-American’s Agency in International Luxury Fashion. Ms. Brown is a doctoral candiate in History at Howard University. She is a former Park Guide for the National Park Service where she gave historical tours at the Mary McLeod Bethune Council House National Historic Site. She is interning with Chris Wilson, the Director of Programs in African American History & Culture at NMAH.
