Stacy Sahagian
Stacy is an Art History major and Media, Culture and Communication minor at New York University. She will be graduating in May 2014. Stacy is originally from Providence, Rhode Island but New York City has always been her favorite city. At NYU, Stacy favors modern art courses along with the occasional studio art class. Along with creating and studying art, Stacy’s passions also include cooking, reading, and spending time with her dog, Winston.
Stacy recently returned home after spending the Spring 2013 semester studying in Paris. There, she used her love of art history to explore every museum in the city. Her favorite museum was the Musée de l’Orangerie, home to some of the most amazing Monet paintings. It was in Paris that Stacy taught herself to cook. She also enjoyed all of the foods Paris had to offer, especially the baguettes.
As much as Stacy enjoyed traveling in Europe, she is very excited to be home and for the opportunity to intern in the Office of Fellowships and Internships. Stacy has never lived in DC before and she can’t wait to explore the city. The Smithsonian’s museums have always been among Stacy’s favorites and she is excited to revisit them. Her favorite Smithsonian Institute would be the National Zoological Park.
