Rosa Nguyen has been supporting OFI since August 2015. Rosa earned a B.A. in History from the University of California, Davis and her Master of Public Affairs (MPA) with an emphasis in public and nonprofit management from Indiana University. Prior to joining the Smithsonian, Rosa was an accounting assistant, served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Zambia from 2011-2013, and also as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer from 2009-2010. While in the Peace Corps, she taught English and math at a rural basic school for grades 3-9 and secured two grants to renovate the basic school and build a new preschool in her village. In AmeriCorps VISTA, Rosa served under the Hands On Network to develop and manage civic engagement projects throughout the Sacramento, California region.

In her spare time, Rosa enjoys cooking, reading and camping.
