Dora Blair is an Administrative Officer at the Office of Fellowships and Internships (OFI). She officially began in August 2012, but has been on board the staff doing detail assignment since December 2011.

Dora is a native of the Washington, D.C. area and has lived here all her life. She started school at Hood College majoring in Home Economics and then transferred to the University of District of Columbia. At UDC, she majored in Early Childhood Education influenced by her daughter’s early school days. Dora graduated from the Trinity Washington University with a degree in Business Administration. Prior to her work at OFI, she worked at the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum (NASM) as a budget analyst. When OFI’s detail opportunity was advertised, her NASM supervisor suggested she look into it. Dora was quite content with her job and wasn’t sure she wanted to make the transition. Eventually, something about OFI enticed her into making the switch.

In her spare time, Dora enjoys staying home watching movies, spending time with family, as well as volunteering to serve the less fortunate. She describes herself as an open book, willing and able to answer any questions you might have for her.
