Gordon Bullock, of the Office of Fellowships and Internships, answers questions from a student of the University of Maryland

The Academic Appointment Diversity and Publicity Taskforce (AADAPT) is dedicated to increasing diversity in all forms including but not limited to gender, race/ethnicity, socio-economic status, age, ability, and sexual orientation in Smithsonian Institution’s internships and fellowships.

AADAPT’s pan-institutional team meets quarterly. Members regularly participate in outreach events such as affinity-group conferences and internship/career fairs in Washington, DC and around the country to promote SI academic programs to diverse audiences. Every year the University of the District of Columbia’s (UDC) Office of Career Services (CSO) holds a Career Fairs to connect UDC students and alumni with employers and employment opportunities.
